Spotlight on Gladstone Vineyard
Weekly offer: 10 % OFF our Gladstone Vineyard range from New Zealand

Established in 1986, the internationally acclaimed Gladstone vineyard was the first of a cluster of boutique wineries established on the old riverbed of the Ruamahanga River, in Gladstone at the southern end of North Island.

Gladstone Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2010 @ £13.95
A mouthfilling wine with good palate weight and a long finish. Tropical fruit flavours and typical minerality make this a lovely alternative to the more common Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs.

Gladstone Vineyard Pinot Noir 2009 @ £15.95
Rich and fullbodied and just off-dry. Old vines and 5 months lees ageing result in intense flavours for peaches, melons and russet apples.

Gladstone Vineyard Pinot Noir 2009 @ £19.95
An elegant Pinot with rich fruit and spices. Incredibly smooth, the soft black cherry fruit flavour s linger on the palate.

Paffenberg
Spotlight: Rainer Wess from Austria

Rainer Wess founded his own winery and produced his own wine for the first time in 2003 after many years experience in wine industry both in Austria and globally. Having worked at the legendary Château Cheval Blanc in Bordeaux and for Robert Mondavi amongst others, his CV is impressive.

The Wachau, in the heartland of Lower Austria, is one of the oldest cultural landscapes of Europe.

The narrow valley with its steep ascending vineyard slopes along the Danube is only 33 kilometres long; the wine district, whose name is protected by law, is only 15 kilometres long. The gateway to the west is marked by the Benedictine monastery Melk, to the east, the Wachau is bordered by the 1000-year-old town of Krems.
